  • Kids Hope

    Donate needed supplies to our Kids Hope school from this list.  Spend an hour a week at lunchtime during the school year building a life-changing relationship with a child in a local school or be a prayer partner for a mentoring pair.   • COMMUNITY KITCHEN and holiday party

    Help prepare a meal at the Community Kitchen at Western Seminary, and participate in the Holiday Party here at First in December for patrons of this daily meal. For more information, contact Rev. LuAnne Stanley Hook.

  • lake louise work camps

    Help with upkeep at one of the beautiful United Methodist-based camps in Michigan, and experience nature's beauty and Christian fellowship while doing it! Work weeks in spring and fall; no experience necessary. For more information, contact Gene Wong.

  • Refresh: Hygiene and Hope

    Welcome and host people who are experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity as they receive the gift of a hot shower, a meal and connection to services in our church building. The program runs on Tuesday and Friday mornings throughout the year. For more information about this program, proudly co-sponsored with Community Action House, contact Rev.   • Impact Holland

    Be the hands and feet of Christ in our local community by joining in a variety of hands- on repair projects, both short-term and ongoing, to help those in need. For more information, contact Rev. LuAnne Stanley Hook

    SON looked different this summer, but we still served our neighbors around town, near our own homes, and our church community as the body of Christ during SON: Antiviral Edition.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry

    This ministry provides persons in need of comfort with a warm, hand-crafted shawl created while praying for them, to literally cover themselves with prayer. New knitters, crocheters or quilters are always welcome to join. For more information, contact Jane Smith
