What Is The Style Of Worship?
Each service is similar in structure but different in content. At both of the services you will experience Bible readings, music, singing, and a topical message from one of the clergy. Our 8:30 service is a traditional worship format during which you may hear the organ, choir, or hear the bell choirs. The 10:45 am service is contemporary in delivery and along with many different types of music. The praise band plays every week.
What should I Expect Inside?
Before the worship service starts and once you enter the building, you will be welcomed by ushers standing just inside the door of the sanctuary of Entrance A and Entrance B. They will provide you with a bulletin that provides information about the worship as well as opportunities to participate in the coming week. An Information Center is located at the back of the sanctuary and there you will find friendly people ready to answer any questions you may have during your time with us. We also offer a space in the lounge for people with different abilities and/or small children with their parents who would like to hear the service in a quieter space.
What Should I wear?
Be comfortable. Be yourself. Some come dressed up and some are more casual. It is all up to you.
What About Children?
Simply put-kids are a welcome and joyful part of worship! We like their energy and yes, we like it when they squeal with joy, too. That said, we know parents may desire other options during worship, so here they are:
- Quiet play spaces for young children are available at the front of the sanctuary and in the Lounge (M102).
- Activity bags (Pre-K to 3rd grade) books and other sensory materials are located behind the last row of seats at the back of the sanctuary.
- Children's Worship is available starting at 10:30 am for 1st-5th graders. We also welcome you to walk your children to the check-in (Entrance C) after the Praise Music and Children's Time in worship.
- The Early Childhood Center (nursery) is also available for children who have not yet started kindergarten.
Where Should I Park?
Parking is available in our lot between 9th and 10th streets west of the building, at the City of Holland parking garage on 9th street, and parking is available on the street on 10th.
