Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a nationally-known ministry through which volunteers of our congregation are trained to provide Christian caregiving in one-to-one, long term relationships. People who are grieving, in crisis, lonely, discouraged, or experiencing other stresses in life are eligible to have a Stephen Minister. The Stephen Minister meets with his/her care-receiver to listen, encourage, and pray. All assignments are confidential. If you know someone who might benefit with a caring, one-on-one relationship, call Sharon Rocker (392-1966) or Pastor Lynn (396-5205). Contact Carol Houck (396-3493) to learn more about the Stephen Ministry training.
What does the Stephen Ministry logo mean?
The logo is a cross and a circle together with a broken person and a whole person. The broken person behind the cross represents the brokenness of our lives from sin and imperfections. The whole person stands in front of the cross because it is only through Jesus that we are made whole. The circle symbolizes God's unending love.
