November Prayer Focus

Prayer concerns which focus on our congregation’s life.  Please pray for the following during the week they are listed:

November Prayer Challenge:  During this month of Thanksgiving pray the following prayer:
“O merciful Creator, your hand is open wide to satisfy the needs of every living creature: make us ever thankful for your loving providence; and grant that we may be faithful stewards of your good gifts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen”
Book of Common Prayer, 1979 (alt.)

November 2—Please pray how God can help me grow toward tithing in my own personal giving to the church.  Also pray for guidance as we make our political choices on Tuesday.

November 9—Please pray for veterans and their families as we remember those who served during this Veterans Day.

November 16—Please pray for God to lead us in the ways of justice, mercy, and peace.  Inspire us to live for all, to assist in ways open to us to alleviate the suffering of others.

November 23—Please pray for the Community Action House and all those who help.  The in-gathering of food today will help fill their pantries.  As we celebrate Thanksgiving help us, dear God, to be totally sincere in our every expression of gratitude for your innumerable blessings.

November 30—Please pray for college students—today is United Methodist Student Day.  We celebrate all our college students and pray for them as they prepare for their up-coming exams.
